Joyful Journeys Counseling went through THREE rounds to finally succumb as second runner up for Best Mental Health Professional 2024 in Austin, TX.
Nomination Round
First, JJC was nominated in August as Best Mental Health Professional in Austin! Thank you to all of the supporters who took time to send in a vote with our name.
First Round of Voting
After the nomination round, the first round of voting had me send out a request to all initial supporters. Thank you for staying the course and voting AGAIN! Can anyone feel the cring at the thought of asking for a final round?
Final Round of Voting
You answered our rallying cry when we finally (and somewhat timidly) spoke up to ask for a final vote. Second runner up isn’t what we hoped for, but thank you for all of the support! It was honestly hard to ask for a third vote.
When Not Winning Is Still Winning
Next year, we will understand how the voting works (Nomination, First Voting Round, Final Voting Round). Understanding this timeline better will allow JJC’s initial request for votes to include this information in a transparent manner to better support supporters.
Our team was thrilled to be in the final running for Austin, Texas’ Best Mental Health Professional 2024. It means so much that the community is receptive to and supportive of our efforts and mission. Cheers to another year of serving Central Texas with accessible mental health care.
